Kevin O’Connell said Jordan Addison won’t practice today after jamming his thumb earlier this week. Imaging came back clean on Addison’s thumb, O’Connell said. Addison will be on the practice field today, but the Vikings will let his injury heal up before he starts catching the ball again.

Though the NFL has opened the door to private equity investments in team ownership, Mark Wilf said the #Vikings aren’t interested in selling a stake to private equity. “We’re proud of our ownership group, our ownership as a whole, and we want to keep it that way,” he said.

Mark Wilf said Nolan Teasley had targeted many of the #Vikings’ front office additions, like Trent Kirchner and Andrew Healy, when he interviewed for the GM job. “What Nolan wanted to get done, we’re pleased he got done,” Wilf said. “You don’t always know if it’s going to work out that way.”

Jamal Adams’ deal with the Vikings is a veteran minimum salary benefit; he gets a $1.3M base (which counts $1.075M on the cap), a $60K signing bonus and $50K roster bonus. No other guarantees in the deal, and Adams has a split salary of $665K. Cap number is $1.185M.

The #Vikings are hiring former Bears GM Ryan Pace as a football advisor for new GM Nolan Teasley, and they’re adding Seahawks scout Azzaam Kapadia as assistant director of pro scouting.

The #Vikings will hold 13 open practices during training camp, beginning on Aug. 1 and concluding with joint practices with the Ravens on Aug. 19-20.
