I've been here long enough where a lot of you don't even know where I come from and I kinda find that delightful. But I'm glad you're here! How are you?

I do not understand parents who don't have their kids bring them things. My son just made me an espresso. Plenty of things are hard about being a parent, make your kids bring you a soda.

I'm tired from moving and my back hurts and I have a lot of regular work today and that's a little stressful but also this is all the places I hoped to be right now. What a blessing to be tired from the hard work you used to pray for.

My actual bed hasn't been put together yet and I was tired so right now I'm sleeping on a very thin twin mattress on a metallic "technically a bed, if you're a divorced guy" frame and regretting my choices. Moving is fun!

A lot of stuff is hard this year but the movies have been abdolutely incredible. Seeing so many people excited about so many films and getting back into the habit of spending an evening at the theater is good for my soul.

I was just served an ad for a hoodie with hidden pockets big enough for full sized candies and cans of soda so you can snuggle them into the movie theater and you know what? The algorithm worked. I am the target market for that product. I'll probably get one.

One of my kids is watching Game of Thrones with me for the first time and I told him I used to watch Game of Thrones professionally when he was a baby and I'm not sure he believes me

The casting in the Spider-Man series has been incredibly good, all of these people have great chemistry together. I'm avoiding spoilers but some of the side characters have surprisingly large parts of the story with actual arcs. It's nice to see Marvel movie with proper setups and payoffs.

Spider-Man was very good. Not best movie of all time good like the box office suggests, but a really good afternoon at the movies and Marvel can still make a good one. The camera work during the action scenes was too notch, and a lot of it felt very informed by the games. I dug it!

I'm a big fan of the infinite option soda machines at theaters these days. I don't need a popcorn bucket that looks suggestive, but I do want an infinite number of ways to get a soda.

We have early spider man tickets today so we're up at a slightly grumpy hour and no one cares. Spider-Man is such a big draw that my kids are fine getting up early on a sunday. Wild.

The most emotionally neutral and helpful way I've seen CPTSD described is that your brain is a predictive modeling beast and it's been fed misery for so long it will only output the same. So you gotta feed it new data constantly. The feeling of doing these new positive things will suck. (1/2)
