This era of software is totally liberating. It's turned building into the most immersive weekend pastime. Turned Fable up to 20x Max and am having to time my bursts I've released more Storyus updates the last 3 weeks than the 5 years prior.

Since 2017 I've been slowly creating the social platform I wished existed for my family ( storyus.life ). 4 years of coding in the evenings and weekend. Then for the 5 years I have been working the most engrossing and fast moving of startups which, after family, left little or no time.

Henley Royal Regatta qualifiers Our daughter’s first, and her crew are through 🚣🏻♂️ #hrr #henleyregatta
Current view: Dorney Lake for the National Schools Regatta Despite having my Wacom with me, it’s the @supernote.com Manta that feels most natural to sketch on.
Test-driving the Campervan life style seems to have suited us well this week
Week 14 of 2026 Year progress: 24.2% ▓▓▓▓░░░░░░░░░░░ "Navigating a boardroom sharpens my strategy; debugging solo hones my grit. Each role gifts the other an edge. Balance isn't the goal—it's the tension that drives growth." #BuildingInPublic #WeeklyProgress
Just took my first ever ‘domestic’ flight (Newark to SF). So wild to be able to just walk straight off the plane and out of the building - no passport or customs stuff. Which would have made more difference if I didn’t have checked luggage
I may rather dislike flying… but goodness me I like where it takes me sometimes #northernlights
I kid you not, for our penultimate stay of the trip - we’ve rented part of a castle in Germany! (If you zoom in you can see us in the balcony.)
Same spot in Austria at sunset, 7 years apart, almost to the day. We’re heading towards the final leg of this wonderful roadtrip, and feeling incredibly proud of the amazing young adults that Jack and Zoe have become, and extremely privileged that we’ve got to share this journey with them
Waking up to wonderful Austria - and what I think is my favourite place in the world. It was the highlight of our 2018 trip, and still lives up to the memories.
This has been an epic place to stay, way up on the mountainside with cracking views over Lake Garda
Italy is an interesting mix of extremes This morning: registering for the ‘tollgate-free toll roads’ which were only sign posted once already on it… and requires passport uploads etc Also this morning: eating fresh figs from the tree while looking out over this stunning vineyard filled landscape
Day 15 of Eurotrip 2025 Waking up in the vineyards of Italy is pretty special.
Day 12 The view we had for lunch is pretty good too! Altesch glacier, Switzerland (biggest glacier in Europe )
Day 12, Eurotrip 2025 Starting the day with a remarkable view from the balcony (and the Matterhorn way off in the distance)
Day 10, Eurotrip 2025 Tour de France (Femmes) passed through the village we’re staying in - what a spectacle
Blissful 30 minutes watching the most perfect conjunction of the moon and the cross atop of Col de Rossanaz
Day 3 Eurotrip 2025 Karting at the international circuit Argenton The 2-strokes were very rapid and were the wildest motorsports experience
Day 2 Eurotrip 2025 Occitan trebucca (“That brings trouble”) The trebuchet were epic in Age of Empires
Jack swapped out his 19 yo Honda Jazz daily driver, for something a little more spritely at Thruxton today.
1909 Model T At the Woodcote Steam Rally this afternoon. Lovely chilled afternoon.
We live about 30 miles south of Silverstone. Sitting in the garden room watching the #F1 race is adding a visceral additional dimension. One minute I’m drying the SUPs in glorious sun, then next it’s hoofing it down and I’m scrambling to bring everything and and to close up
Many, many thanks to everyone who played a part in making last Friday's @pixelpioneers.co Bristol such a wonderful day: all the speakers, sponsors and supporters, attendees, volunteers, and MC @philhawksworth.dev of course! Stay tuned for the full photo gallery and the videos of the talks!
