Just a fabulous @benthicsmeeting.bsky.social this year. And I got to meet my first PhD student’s lab, so I guess I’m officially an academic grandpa now? Life moves pretty fast… Next year in Boston! #bem2026 #bem2027

This week, I attended the Benthic Ecology Meeting in Virginia Beach, VA - with several undergrads and graduate students from the URI College of the Environment and Life Sciences, and three other professors - Drs. Graham Forrester, Carlos Prada, Jon Puritz... #BEM2026 @benthicsmeeting.bsky.social

We *just* got results that is going to make the Tuesday afternoon session @benthicsmeeting.bsky.social talks by @jamiep.bsky.social and my phenomenal student Anderson Smith really, really fun. I knew the results of each of their projects before the other knew the results of each of their projects.
