What a fabulous study! Coevolution between plants and animals not only inspires our banner image, but famously was something CharlesDarwin understood so well that he was able to predict the existence of a moth species based wholly on the shape of a flower he posited it must pollinate.
🐝🌸Excited for this webinar by Rosemary Grant, whose pioneering research helped inspire our studies on pollinator-driven floral variation in Europe’s most iconic #orchid, #Cypripediumcalceolus. We completed two chapters from the late Herbert Braunschmid’s PhD last year. More to come! 🧪🌍
We’re very excited to confirm that Rosemary Grant will be giving our inaugural online webinar in September. It’s free to all, so please look out for details of how to sign up for tickets.
This was such an amazing conference!! So well-organized and amazing speakers and venue! Looking forward to the next edition in Edinburgh!

A reminder for everyone at #Ex2026: if you’d like to get involved in keeping our new community thriving and growing, come along to an open conversation about future plans at 9:30 on Friday. We’ll meet outside the campus bar.
A great start to #ExE2026 this morning! We’ll be at our stand if you want to chat about anything MEE or BES (or if you just want to draw your study organism!)
Both @bes-evolecol.bsky.social founders are at the conference, so do grab Lizy Mittell or @sevans.bsky.social to say hi - especially if you’re interested in a role on our group committee.
It’s happening! A conference dedicated to evolutionary ecology gets started this morning! #ExE2026
Sooo looking forward to this, not least because it’ll be where our Special Interest Group officially gets started. It’s going to be wonderful to bring our community together at its own dedicated conference. We’ve also got lots planned for the coming year to maintain that community…
