Well this turns out to be misleading! The LLM was used to rewrite human-written stories in commercial registers ("literary magazine", "published short story collection"). You'd have to read supplemental materials from a zip fle to know that was the methodology. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

The inability of @nytimes.com to properly credit other journalists (in this case Abby/us) is something that of course journalists feel most dearly. But it is absolutely indicative of the arrogance that leads the paper—which is great/I support—astray and weakens the trust that people have in it.

For @aftermath.site : When Valve announced the Steam Machine, they showed off an eInk faceplate called the Inkterface used for internal testing. Many clamored for it. Instead of selling it, they made the entire thing open source. I built one, and so have many others. aftermath.site/steam-machin...

The Steam Machine's ePaper Faceplate Is Open Source And Full Of Possibility

Valve made the eInk Steam Machine faceplate open source to see what the community could do. We're already seeing results.

Guy in line at the beer distributor grousing about The Odyssey and I had the absolutely incredible pleasure of explaining who defeated the Spartans. Most fun I've had there since I almost convinced someone that Abba's Super Trouper was about the Viking berserker at the Battle of Stamford Bridge
