Farm Visit “My family put the herd together in 1928.” Cows were eating “What’s this feed made of?” I asked the farmer, who had invited me to tour his dairy farm. Forthright & knowledgeable, he answered, “corn silage - fermented, hay/grass - fermented, ground corn (high moisture),” & ... More in ALT.

Picture of two cows. surprisingly, “Purina pellets.” The exact combination is privileged information. Today’s bossies were clear-eyed, lowed harmoniously, & swished their tails in that casual way. With 60-70 head of cattle, whose milk yields a 4.2 % butterfat content well over the 3.25% whole milk standard, this kind of farm was straight out of “All Creatures Great and Small.” Did he name his cows, or were they just a number to him? “Well, we got Blossom,” and some his daughter named after the Disney Princesses. And where did his milk go? “Milk only flows East,” he explained: to Carlisle for butter & a good amount into Hershey’s chocolate. Unfortunately, this local farmer, like many others, was suffering. When asked what the federal government could do, he answered, “Milk pricing overhaul.” Did the January passage of the federal “Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act” help him? He hadn’t seen it yet but was sure it would. Caught between low milk prices, high fertilizer costs (about $23,000/mth), & high diesel prices, the farmer has to balance how much corn he’ll sell vs how much he’ll turn into silage for his cows. Even though he’s done it for years & his employees are his family, it’s a struggle to break even. Would he sell his property to get out of this difficulty? The farmer looked across his hillside farm and said it could get a person, “a satchel full of money, nothing else, a recipe to die.” “Context & relationships are extremely important in this world,” he added. After a jouncy ride, he reached the pinnacle of one field. The view was utterly stunning. It was clear, the farmer doesn’t leave because there simply isn’t anywhere as beautiful. How could I do something for this farmer: vote to pass the Farm Bill & H.R. 9474 (Local Foods for Healthy Schools Act of 2026) when elected, but it just doesn’t seem immediate enough. (Note: the farmer is unnamed in order not to single him out.)

Since over 90% of abortions take place during the first 13 weeks, let's compare and contrast their models to actual fetal pictures. Oh, look at that - COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! And if these prolife organizations are lying about what a fetus looks like at a particular age...WHAT ELSE ARE THEY LYING ABOUT? We already know that crisis pregnancy centers are not licensed healthcare centers, that the equipment is not inspected by the state government, that the workers are usually just church ladies in scrubs with a very fixed agenda. You don't believe me? They know what it is to sustain a pregnancy, give birth, then raise a child. They're saying, "I can't do this." And if they can't, you won't. You won't provide prenatal visits for them to go to, prenatal vitamins for them to take, childcare and/or time off of work as needed. So don't fool yourself. The number of Independent and Republican voters who said they would vote for me was higher than I experienced the last time around. I let them know that, unlike our own US Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, I will hold Trump accountable for his crimes against humanity and Constitutional law. I also let them know that I will be holding Town Halls in the near future where they'll be able to ask their questions and hear my answers. I appreciate that a number of them took my yard signs. In no surprise to anyone, our own U.S. Representative, multimillionaire John Joyce, silently approves of President Trump having sacrificed the safety of others, unbeknownst to them, to save himself. Trump has never shown any courage - he dodged the draft five times during the ... More in ALT.

Vietnam era, for example, claiming "bone spurs" absolutely willing for others to sacrfice themselves instead of himself. Recently, he snuck off of Air Force One, letting others ride the plane he was assumed to be in, and not informing them of the threat. "When US intelligence allegedly found a credible threat that Iran plotted to kill him last month, Trump left Air Force One in a catering truck, an episode first reported by the Washington Post and also by the New York Times. While the president was reportedly snuck out the side door of the plane, more than a hundred aides, officials and reporters were kept onboard to fly towards Britain, without being told there was a threat to their lives. “It appears that the idea was we can reduce the danger to President Trump by offering up 100 or so people to be killed by the Iranians in his place,” said Steven Cash, executive director of the Steady State and a former CIA intelligence officer and senior adviser to the Department of Homeland Security’s intelligence branch.” https://tinyurl.com/3c82cm6f If you want to know what actual bravery looks like, I offer the declassified file of my grandfather, Captain Wesley Yeo Clement, who died, along with his fellow airmen, while occupying Germany in 1953. He studied law, intending to be a lawyer before he had to return to the Air Force to support his family, so I know Democracy was important to him. In the reddest county in PA, a gentleman (not the one in the photograph) asked, "So, how does a politician like you get involved?” Fulton County Democratic Committee hosted a tent at the Fulton County Fair. I spoke to voters from all over the district, even those saying they wouldn't ... See ALT.

Aug 2015: I, a lifelong Republican, had a baby. 6 months later, Trump was winning primary elections. Feb 2016: I said to my (Republican) husband, "If it ever comes down to an election between Trump & Clinton, I think I'm voting for Clinton." I told the man that Rob & I voted for different Republicans in the 2016 primary. We looked at Clinton's public life & were impressed by her experience, education & competence. I voted straight Democrat because every local Republican stood with Trump & he won. I grieved for our country. Then I was ready to DO SOMETHING. Jan. 2017: I joined the Women's March. I joined others in grassroots groups & voted Democrat. After many votes, I told Rob, "I think I'm a Democrat. I'm going to change my registration." I did & he did too. Later, I joined the Democratic Committee. 2022: When we didn't have a Democratic candidate to oppose Rep Joyce, I ran a write-in campaign. He listened to my story, but I felt I was missing something. I asked what mattered to him about candidates: it was important to learn about our views to see if they aligned with his. I pointed to the website on my brochure. I couldn't shake the feeling I needed to connect better & took a chance, "John Joyce isn't just an election denier, he voted for the OBBA that raises Affordable Care Act premiums." I had hit it. He stated that his had gone up. I offered many increased $100s/person. His partner chimed in, "Ours went up 4 times as much. We can't afford it, so we don't have health insurance now." This is the devastation Joyce brings to PA-13, not caring about those affected by his dangerous votes. He only wants Trump's favor. I asked the gentleman & his partner to vote for me. They went away, pretty much nodding, but still keen to review my website. Vote for me on Nov. 3. #ChooseDemocracy, choose local community.
