Throughout August, children in England can travel by bus for free. This is a great initiative, saving families money and the hassle of driving, as well as giving buses a real boost. BUT 1 in 7 people live in places without a decent bus service - more must also be done to improve connections.

Latest Government figures show rail arrivals into major cities in England and Wales rose by 3% last year – good news for rail and the climate.
