Bev Craig For Greater Manchester Mayor
@bevcraig.bsky.social
Labour Party candidate for the Greater Manchester mayoralty on 30 July 2026. Get in touch: Bev4GM@labour.org.uk
This Thursday, let’s keep moving forwards together.
I will fight for you, every single day.
Busy Sunday campaigning in Chorlton - with a quick stop in town to take part in the Manchester Day carnival. Can’t believe it's only four days to go!
🍻On top of Andy’s 20% cut to business rates for pubs, clubs and live music, I’ll deliver a dedicated pubs strategy to safeguard these vital community assets. 🍴I’ll also organise a Greater Manchester Hospitality Summit to support local independent businesss.
🏡 A good home that you can afford. That's my plan. 🔗 bevformayor.co.uk/manifesto/
🏡50,000 new affordable and council homes. Brownfield first. Priority for GM locals. Action on bad landlords, rip-off rents and HMOs.
Such a great buzz around Greater Manchester today! Enjoy your weekends everyone
Great to catch up with my friend Andy Burnham on his first day working in Number 10 North in Manchester. 🌹 As Mayor, I’ll go even further on what Andy has already delivered. It never hurts to have friends in high places - and working just around the corner!
You asked, I answered. It is not Burnaaaaaage...
I’ll always put the safety of our residents first.
I will apply a simple test to every decision as Mayor: will it make life better for the people of Greater Manchester?
I want to build a Greater Manchester where no-one gets left behind. Thank you to Made Running for being so welcoming!
Busy couple of days! Met some apprentices, ran a few times, watched a friend get a promotion...
My promise to you: as Mayor, I will fight every single day for every resident of Greater Manchester. Read my manifesto and find out my plan for GM 👇 bevformayor.co.uk/manifesto/
I will build a better, fairer and greener Greater Manchester 🌳
For pride in every town. Check the comments.
A huge thank you to everyone who’s spoken to me, campaigned for me, stopped me to share well wishes as I’ve been out in nearly every borough of GM this weekend. Your support means the world to me.
This election is about the future of Greater Manchester. It’s a future we can build together with a mayor that will get things done for us. Thank you @lucympowell.bsky.social for your support, this weekend - and everyone who has been out as part of this campaign.
Making sure we have a mayor that's for us. That's what this campaign is all about.
Another busy day! Started with Parkrun🏃, went out and about on the bus 🚌, and met young Labour activists ⭐. Very happy to be back up North after a quick trip to London for a very special conference!
You asked, I answered. Yes, I've done the Didsbury Dozen. No, you can't see the fancy dress.
⛰️🫣 Cruella De Hill won this round, but it was great to join the lovely folks at Bolton Park Run. 🏃♀️ If you’ve got a 5k run group who want to run together in the next couple of weeks, let me know in the comments!
For me, ending homelessness is a moral mission. I will take action to help get people off our streets, build more council and affordable housing and tackle bad landlords and rip-off rents. My plan for housing and my full manifesto can be found here: bevformayor.co.uk/bevs-manifes...
I'll freeze fares to save commuters cash.
You asked, I answered. Swifties, I'm sorry for being so basic...
I'm speaking to as many people as I can everyday - even hungover constituents who can't make the visits 😂
Together, we can build an even better Greater Manchester. Thanks for your support, John and Jennie!
What do litterpickers in Radcliffe, parkrun, a sports club, a mosque, a community centre and a foodbank have in common?
£500 in the pockets of families. High streets that we can all be proud of. A Greater Manchester where every borough shares in our success.
