I’m curious about how quickly screwworm can spread? Texas cattle are brought to the Kansas Flint Hills for grazing in the springtime. Perhaps an inspection should be required? Quarantine?

This flesh-eating parasite previously eradicated from the U.S. poses a huge threat to our cattle. The Trump administration fired more than 15,000 USDA employees and eliminated a program to contain the screwworm in Central America.

Rep. Raskin: I heard Trump talk about this demonstrating the importance of the new ballroom. That might help people visiting the White House, but what about people in shopping malls, in movie theaters, in high schools, and elementary schools across the country?
