A woman who just had to have an antique cabinet I'm selling but couldn’t get it together to buy it in June when I was in Maryland, then spent weeks asking repeatedly about when we would be back so she could get it, just flaked and said the price was too high.

NEW: Elon Musk clearly hates talking about Tesla's stagnant car biz these days so @russellbrandom.bsky.social and I mapped out just how much it's taken a back seat on the company's earnings calls. Musk now spends half or more of his time talking about AI & robotics: techcrunch.com/2026/08/04/e...

Transportation secretary Sean Duffy benefited from millions in corporate donations to make a show about road trips. But two months after Duffy said the show would premiere, it doesn't appear to exist at all. My latest False Flag @thebulwark.com: www.thebulwark.com/p/what-the-h...

Did every buff book which participated in the Tesla Model YL first drive agree to pretend the Kia EV9 and Hyundai IONIQ 9 don't exist in order to get access?
Thanks to GEICO for sending my stress levels through the roof before 9:00 AM on a Monday.
One of the ways misinformation spreads is when a person with expertise in one field (climate science) wades into an adjacent but unrelated field (transportation infrastructure) and uses his credentials to spread falsehoods badly sourced from Wikipedia, like we have here.
Jake is right. I also wrote about this in my book, more from the political angle. I argue that the streetcar conspiracy was actually a convenient scapegoat for those who wanted to minimize government's role in transit's failure, and the racism of whites who abandoned integrated systems.
this is not true. there was no conspiracy. it didn't matter whether the streetcars were publicly owned (seattle, detroit) or private (los angeles, atlanta). a thread (because i wrote a whole-ass book on this): 1/?
Buddy, you don't know this yet, but we are absolutely going to be friends
Kids today don't know what they're missing. I got to see Tony Bennett open for The Ramones, and he took the stage after a special appearance from Courtney Love.
Remembering the late great TONY BENNETT — born 100yrs ago today.

My husband wasn't tracking what was happening with Boy George. Me: let me just show you @parkermolloy.com's skeet. It's a much better explanation than any other way I could explain it.
Just amazing how this headline gets worse with every line
And it arrived today -- the Worn & Wound Sea Hunter, which hides the date wheel to create a cleaner, symmetrical dial. Already added the scales bracelet from Uncle and a diver's clasp from Tactical Frog for on-the-fly like adjustability. Less than $500 all in.
#Bulova is having a sale on already top-value Caravelle Vintage Sea Hunter models. For $300 you get a beautifully propotioned 200m resistance diver with a nice bezel, tan-lume numerals and markers and a 8215 movment. Not a #Longines Legend diver but min $2500 less! www.bulova.com/us/en/produc...

It's amazing, but also worth noting is that Seoul is building public transit at a breakneck speed that is arguably the envy of the world, and it is absolutely *fantastic*
“Everyone thought it would create gridlock.” It didn’t. “It’s difficult to imagine that just over 20 years ago, this was an elevated highway carrying 168k cars daily through South Korea’s capital.” Now it’s a world famous people-place. They’ve since removed 16 more elevated highways in the city.
