We’re excited to announce that Nick Souter, keynote speaker of #BHD25, will give a talk titled “How to Reduce the Carbon Footprint of Your Research Computing.” Nick will unpack how computing drives emissions, and explore what researchers can do to reduce their impact without compromising rigour.
Project 3. FAIR-PsyFlow: making psychological assessment methods and data FAIR Psychology and behavioral research rely on assessment tools—but how do we make them more transparent, reusable, and aligned with FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)?
Project 2: Developing a tool to estimate the carbon footprint of neuroimaging research by @nicksouter.bsky.social Every research action—conference travel, MRI scanning, storing data—leaves a mark on the planet. Neuroimaging, with its energy-heavy pipelines and massive datasets, is no exception.
Brainhack Donostia 2025: Get a Glimpse of the Projects! BHD is all about collaboration, creativity, and learning by doing. Here’s a sneak peek at three of the projects already proposed (SPOILER: there are more!!) Helmholtz never published in Nature Neuroscience!
We are excited to have @inesatalmeida.bsky.social as our #BHD25 keynote! She will talk on “Assessment Criteria fostering Quality: Implementing Reform of Research Assessment,” focusing on recognizing diverse outputs, activities, and profiles in hiring and promotion.
