Motivation to cycle is helpful. Major Hollywood stars using biking to be healthier and more successful in their careers proves influential. One thinks, "I can do that, too." 55 year-old Matt Damon uses cycling to keep in shape for roles such as Odysseus in Christopher Nolan's movie, "The Odyssey."

Robert Craig Knievel, known professionally as Evel Knievel, was a famous stunt performer and entertainer known for dare devil motorcycle jumps. 1976 Bicentennial AMF Roadmaster Evel Knievel branded bicycles were offered thanks to a sponsorship agreement with him featuring red, white and blue colors.

Actor, Harrison Ford, turns 84 on July 13. Bicycles evolved to suit the varied needs of riders. Ladies' versions of the roadster's design was very much in place by the 1890s. It had a step-through frame rather than the diamond frame of the men's models so that ladies, with their dresses and skirts, could easily mount and ride their bicycles.
