Sometimes people are like anyone can fall into a cult but like, I’m pretty sure I’m not gonna. Watch this space
One great secret of mine is that I never learned how to use any kind of photo editing application and so I make all of my thumbnails on a random website called Fotojet, and at this point I’m too far gone to change things
I think it’s interesting that some think the M. Night Shyamalan is sooo much worse than Netflix avatar. Really I think the two are roughly the same quality, but the film is a fun stupid watch I’ve returned to a few times and Netflix Avatar is very much not lol
The most contentious claim in my video by far is that “the painted lady” is one of the most mid episodes of the original show’s third season. And yet no one presents a worse episode of that season… it is the worst one…
I think the the a/b thumbnail testing feature is the purest expression of the fundamentally antagonistic relationship between creators and audiences. because like I don't care if you hate it, I need to know if people click on this
It’s odd when people can’t just admit they liked the bad show and are upset that I disagree with them, and so have to make it about some like, moral statement about how it’s better for reviews to be positive than negative
I got one comment like, "do you ever feel weird or bad making silly videos when you sometimes make much more thoughtful videos?" My answer is NO that's CRAZY
My big avatar review! I’m proud of it! I tried to make it funny the whole time youtu.be/HqG2xN-M8C8?...
Netflix Avatar May Actually Be the Worst Show

have any of you ever noticed that my patreon credits text crawl is too fast, does this annoy any of you? don't hold back
I ask my gf, what would you pay to, just for a moment, be in another body so you could look at yourself. She says nothing. She says she doesn’t care. She’d tenatively do it for free. Is that normal. I would maybe pay one thousand dollars for this
Netflix Avatar video up on Patreon 😀 Drew Gooden released a video about the show yesterday but I respectfully ask you to boycott him
I really enjoy when bathrooms have their light switches inside the room and really dislike when the switch is outside the room. Any Joel Goons out there to validate my opinions
thinking about the Hank Green AI use thing (sorry Hank I know u follow me on here) and I just don't actually think Claude actually churns out sentences like:
Look I believe in Emily Wilson but it’s so funny to write this when your review includes the sentence “I would be ashamed to have written this movie”
Not Emily Wilson busting out the "hope this helps"
I wonder if my feelings about Emily Wilson’s Odyssey review are like the feelings of Beast Games or Netflix Avatar fans watching my videos. “Sure. Sure fine. You’re right. But there is much to love in Beast Games…”
there are so many more IP abolition type people than I ever imagined. From what I've now seen, it seems like there's a desire to make IP out to be something doesn't benefit any non-massive corporations at all. But even if you think the merits point to abolition, that aint true right
i still just really feel like AI stuff is basically illegal. like I don't think a good faith interpretation of "fair use" entails vacuuming up everyone's intellectual property to build your chat bot. that sounds wrong to me
for some reason there still aren't polls on here, but I'm curious if there's general agreement here. what is the best season of the original Avatar? 1, 2, or 3?
specifically pro israel conservatives versus anti israel conservatives.. just the unabashed slop of it all
I really don't like the new animation look of the upcoming avatar stuff, and I think it's my true entrance to the world of old dumb fogeyhood. when you have an entrenched style, it makes the audience feel like that's how the world LOOKS, not like it's just some artist's interpretation, u know?
I just don’t understand how loud motorcycles are legal I just DONT UNDERSTAND HOW YOU CAN LEGALLY SELL SUCH A THING
apparently i watched this podcast and yet when I look at the thumbnail my reaction is still "no I don't and no it isn't 😀"
As much as I enjoyed the odyssey, I do feel like it sort of refused the historical subjectivity of its characters, refused to even consider that these people might feel differently about the story than we do
The question this article asks is: how should jews operate as jews today, given the apparent unpopularity of Israel. Immediately discarded is the possibility or renouncing Israel, as it's a feature of the jewish soul. 1/2 www.nytimes.com/2026/07/06/o...
Opinion | A Profound Question Haunting Jews Today
Over the years, I have moved toward the way of being Jewish that my father rejected.

the main thing about The Odyssey is that I never could have imagined a Trojan Horse just sitting on the beach, an impossibly heavy object that all the Trojans have to lug over the course of a full day.. that's crazy
odyssey is settling well in my mind. like even with the original book, I find that the Odyssey section of the Odyssey (that is, the journey home) is way more interesting than anything else. And Nolan's film absolutely nails this aspect. It's hard to imagine the cyclops, or cerces, realized better
I’d like an edit of the odyssey where every time a character refers to the “law of Zeus” (this happens around ten thousand times) the words are replaced with “sweet southern Cracker Barrel hospitality”
Odyssey fun! It very much feels in conversation with Oppenheimer. It’s like what if after the bomb drops and Oppenheimer gets sad, he kills like a million guys. And in a way that is wonderful
