I got the new Resident Evil Trilogy (7 + 8 + 9) for Switch 2, having never played them before. Just finished 7. Holy crap what a great game. Lackluster final 30min, but I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. It comes highly recommended by me.

Aside from being a horrible comic, Jeff Dunham is a pretty bad ventriloquist. Every time he does the puppets' voice, he curls his lower lip, and his voice box jiggles like Jell-O.

The film The Last Samurai is super racist by depicting the Japanese Samurai class as being regressive and traditionalist. Their jobs were to be effective warriors, not moon-eyed nostalgists. Samurai of that era wore cotton uniforms, used rapiers not katana, and were sharpshooters with firearms.

It was pretty visionary that Rodenberry kept cigarettes completely out of the original Star Trek. Almost half of adult Americans were smokers at the time, and tobacco advertisers wanted the characters to light up. Rodenberry had to fight the network to keep the Enterprise smoke-free.

A good person's compassion and empathy is not predicated on comprehending the internal reality of the other person. I can't relate to or really wrap my head around people who enjoy being in animal-themed mascot costumes. That doesn't change the fact that they deserve all the love, care, and rights.

Just watched the first episode of Omegahorn. I think this is the first Toei tokusatsu series which takes place in a world completely unlike our own, rather than having the hero being an outlier in an otherwise normal world. So much lore to unpack! I'm excited!
