#MorningPrayer Lord Jesus, draw us close to you and deep into your kingdom; that our lives may be marked by a discipleship and determination for goodness, wisdom, and stamina in our relationship with you and with one another, and by an openness to your call and challenge to love.

#MorningPrayer Day by day, Lord Jesus, may we encounter you in the fullness of your risen life; in the joy of your presence among us and within us by the power of the Holy Spirit. Grant us understanding of your gospel and your love, that we may be faithful agents of your kingdom.

#MorningPrayer Lord Jesus, help us recognise the height, breath, and depth of your love for us, magnified on your cross. Inspire our hearts to embrace your call, and live out your love for all around us. Even when we have nothing to gain from following your way, keep us faithful.

#MorningPrayer You call us, Lord Jesus, to follow the way of your grace, to bear the cross of your love for all the world, for all people, good and bad, near and far. Strengthen us in our faith, as we work for the wellbeing of all, and help us to forgive others as you forgive us.

#MorningPrayer Release us, Lord Jesus, from our propensity to short-term selfishness at the expense of your call; keep us from choosing that which satisfies the immediate desires of our ego, our comfort, but causes us to crucify your image within us and turn away from your grace.

#MorningPrayer Infuse us with your grace, Lord Jesus, that we may live each day in anticipation of the fullness of your kingdom, with love as the hallmark of all that we do, and all that we are. May our living be offered as praise to you, in honouring our neighbours near and far.

#MorningPrayer Restrain us, Lord Jesus, from indulging the temptation to set ourselves up over others, to twist your gospel to privilege the positions we find most comfortable, to close our minds to challenge or change. Keep us open to your Spirit that we may live out your love.

#MorningPrayer Lord Jesus, open our hearts and minds, our souls and lives, to the reality of your love and the truth of your way. Help us know, in all that we are, the joy of your kingdom; and may our knowing inspire our living, our loving, our being, our becoming more like you.

#MorningPrayer Increase our faith, Lord Jesus, and the strength of our will, that we may not, by our weaknesses or the selfishness of our choices, betray your love for us or your lordship in our lives; but when we fail, as we will, draw us back into the grasp of your forgiveness.

#MorningPrayer Inspire us, Lord Jesus, to offer you all that we are and all that we have as we follow your way, engage in your mission, and share your love. Meet us in risen life, that like Mary Magdalene, we may share the good news of your resurrection and your kingdom with all.

#MorningPrayer Free us, Lord Jesus, from our propensity to trust first in our own strength, wisdom and power; for in doing so, we work inevitably for selfish ends. Rather, open our souls to trust in you, in your love; and to embrace your forgiveness, when we wander from your way.

#MorningPrayer In your incarnation, Lord Jesus, you emptied and humbled yourself to embrace our humanity and offer your life and love for our healing, our wholeness, and our salvation. Inspire us to follow your call and offer ourselves in humble service to one another and to you.

#MorningPrayer Lord Jesus, temper our emotions, that we may not be drawn in by a temptation to wield power over others, and perpetuate or intensify a culture of revenge for the hurts we suffer. Let us instead respond to all things in the strength of your love, and work for peace.

#MorningPrayer Consecrate our lives, Lord Jesus, as an upper room where we meet with you and share the joys and the call of your kingdom with one another. Feed us at your table, and draw us ever more closely into the covenant of your love, that we may live out that love each day.

#MorningPrayer In the uncertainties that we experience day by day, Lord Jesus, strengthen our commitment to seek and follow your will, to be open to your guidance and to the way of your gospel, in all our decisions and actions. May we be led not by ego, nor by greed, but by love.

#MorningPrayer Keep us faithful to your call, Lord Jesus; rooted in your gospel, growing into your kingdom, the lifeblood of your love coursing through our being. Hold our attention to the way that you offer us; so, may we live in your grace and peace, sharing your hope with all.

#MorningPrayer In the face of the world’s problems and turmoil, its difficulties and dangers, help us Lord Jesus, to lift our focus to you and your kingdom, to your challenge and call to follow the way of your gospel, of your love, to know and to show your peace to all around us.

#MorningPrayer Lord Jesus, we give thanks for your love which holds and guides us, infusing our hearts and leading us in your way. In living power renew us, that our lives may enthrone you; forgiving our transgressions, and inspiring our future. Lord of life, may we live for you.

#MorningPrayer Lord our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, you are God of Love and God of Living; keep our hearts and souls fixed on your gift of life, in all its fullness and hope. In good times and bad, in wealth and want, in health and hardship, in all, may we know your peace.
