Nice surprise checking my garden traps traps this morning:- Jersey Mocha (Cyclophora ruficiliaria). I didn't take much notice of it at first, sitting at the back of the MV trap. It was only when I potted it to remove it that I realised what it was.

I think I've seen more Hummingbird Hawk-moths in my garden this year than previous years combined. Getting a decent photo though is another matter. I think this is the best I've managed so far.

No sign of any migrants in my Dagenham garden this Autumn, in fact hardly any moths at all but I was surprised to see this Banded Honeysuckle Leaf-miner (Phyllonorycter trifasciella) sitting by the trap last night. With honeysuckle a couple of feet away, it may have only just emerged.
