“I’m not talented enough to be unprepared. Are you?” -Monroe Stahr

Hate him all you want, MAGA But @jamestalarico.bsky.social keeps talking to Texans about the issues they're actually struggling with. Guided by his deep Christian faith and his deep love of country. OR... you can have a liar/crook/elite like Ken Paxton. The Eyes of America Are Upon You.

The American Dream has become an American Nightmare. It’s too expensive to buy a home. It’s too expensive to get married and have kids. It’s too expensive to retire comfortably. The top 1% put the American Dream behind a paywall.

Greatest movie year ever. Only 1939 comes close. Network All The President's Men Taxi Driver Bound For Glory Marathon Man. And NONE of them won Best Picture. ...Rocky did. We ALL have to keep giving our best until moves are that good again.

“I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!” NETWORK (1976) In a decade littered with cinematic masterpieces, Paddy Chayefsky & Sidney Lumet’s movie is right up there at the top of the list. #PeterFinch

Ask yourself: If this guy had scalded YOUR daughter, held a gun to her head, and broken the collarbone of YOUR grandchild, would you have DONE SOMETHING about it? Or would you have let that go unpunished? Senator Bernie Moreno did. In fact, Moreno publicly SUPPORTED this monster. Brutal.

The craziest thing about these two photos of Max Miller is they are just from the first minute of his 20 minute live today for his own personally conducted public soothing Therapy Session while he waited for the teleprompter to start working.

They all learn eventually. But on the road to get there, they lie, they fuck over their constituents, they destroy democracy, and they weaken our national security. ZERO SYMPATHY for this pathetic hack. Mike Johnson's reckoning is coming. And I'll have even LESS sympathy for him.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, says Trump threw him under the bus. “If he would do that to me, he would do that to anybody,” Cornyn says. “There’s never going to be good enough for him, other than 100 percent, you know, slavish adherence to whatever he wants.“ www.nytimes.com/2026/06/11/u...

As a senior in high school, I wrote an essay about Haley and "Roots" that found its way into Haley's hands. He reached out to me, became a mentor, even came to speak at my school. This was a brilliant, generous, profound man whose work CHANGED AMERICA for the better. Knox County knows it.

If you never read the book or saw the movie, you missed one of the greatest Pulitzer Prize winning sagas ever written. To dishonor Alex Haley like this is disgraceful.
