Had this idea some time ago when the Steam Machine was announced. A little CRT screen (faked with a flat display) as a faceplate for the Steam Machine. 🤣 Would be pretty funny to play our fake OS game "Enter the kOS" on that. 😆

Another main feature of our game is the ability to steal buttons 🥷🏻 from one window and use their functions on a different one. 😋

In kOS you can flip windows on its backside. There you kinda hack certain functions of the window and exchange some resources.😅 On the top you can discover how the title bar buttons work. Closing is TNT🧨, gears handle scaling and maximizing ⚙️, minimizing is a pocket dimension device 🌀.

The first window is our little piano application, which will be able to record your masterpieces. 🎼😎 You can also equip it with new sounds you'll find in the game. 🙂 The second one is the calculator, which is pretty self-explanatory. 😅 The last one shows a little animation for our drop-down menus. 😁

This is the "Fame Toy", a program in our game where you can actually play small games. Later in the game, it will become some sort of hacking device. 😆 Because it's a window, you can obviously resize it and enjoy "widescreen gaming". 🤣

This is the "Extractor" which can unpack compressed files in our game. Actually, you can unpack any file you want. For example, if you unpack a text file, you get letters. 🤣

Years ago we started a passionate game project named kOS (can be spelled as chaos). kOS is puzzle game inside a fictional operating system, which has its own unique and unexpected rules. We are excited to work on kOS fulltime from now on as we got funded by Press Start: Gründungsstipendium Games.
