After a year and a half I finally have a completed true "first draft" of a novel. Had some pesky unfinished chapter sitting around for about a year but finally completed them 🙌 Given the length might have to split it in half but here we are #writing

At 140,000ish words, with at least one more act, covering several very large plot arcs. The length of the text makes it unpublishable :/, even if I were to cut the book down the middle - finding a good cliffhanger point. I don't have any kind of previous reputation that would give a publisher trust

potential content warning for my future novel: This story contains scenes of body horror, psychological unraveling, death by vacuum exposure, and existential dread. It also features a protagonist who uses bad language and worse coping mechanisms.

Nearing the final draft of a novel I've been working on. Sort of proud . But whatever. It has themes, characters, ideas - that I feel will be banned soon in the US, UK, EU... Glad I finally got myself around to fulfilling my dream of writing something. Shitty fucking timing.

using goodreads reviews to find things I might enjoy... Every time a book is vaguely experimental, the reviews just spend the entire time masturbating over the author, and trying to use words that likely outshine anything found in the book it self while saying nothing. Stop that.
