It all begins when a male Cedar Waxwing sidles up next to a female & offers her a berry, fruit, flower petal, or insect. Will she accept or won’t she? If she does, the dance begins! The “gift” is passed back and forth between them until the female finally eats it. Now they are mates for the season!

Last Saturday 100+ people came out to our first public planting at our new 12.5 acres property on NE 82nd Ave! Together, we put 540 native plants in the ground, one of the first steps towards healing and restoring this former landfill to make it a haven for people and wildlife.
