Now that I've read the book again, I have some ~updated opinions~. In my original post I said it was a dry read but that is false! Either I was too young to really appreciate the themes covered (I read it 10 years ago), or too frustrated trying to understand it, or a combination of the two.

They did an outstanding job with Metroid Dread so I'm really looking forward to this new 2D Metroid.
I've done nothing but play Silksong these past few weeks. The game was excellent. I had a few gripes but the sheer quantity of high quality boss fights more than makes up for it. I really liked the writing, too. I don't much care for the plot but the character dialogue is top-notch.
Okay but can we talk about why the urn has a lid now? Can we no longer throw things into it? Are they removing secrets to make the game easier for the modern gamer?
I can't say I really like the art style of the OoT remake. The characters look weird and I dunno, glossy? Somehow everything feels smaller while the characters are larger. That deku tree scene felt really cramped compared to how I remember it. I dunno. Maybe it grows on you after a bit.
