Trying something new. Using a mechanical typewriter to write initial drafts of blob posts for our website. I haven't finished a draft yet so we'll see! Idea was to make them more deliberate, focused, and earnest. Plus the typewriter is really fun to use! #MechnicalTypewriter

So I bought a #typewriter (Olympian SM8). That happened. Initially just for avoiding hand written notes in the darkroom without having to bring my phone. But now I'm seeing a lot of nice use cases for it. Says something given my day job is in IT.

What a glorious vacation! We're now back and already working on the orders that came in while we were gone. Our direct, eBay and Etsy stores are open! Thanks for everyone's patience while we took a much needed and phenomenal vacation! I even came back with a few ideas for future products!

Beaches can be hard on #LargeFormat but I tried anyway! Arctic Terns, the tide going out, and the rain all played a role. But I gave it a go anyway and exposed 3 sheets (Provia, Ektar, and Pan F). The camera didn't fall into the ocean so ultimately it's a win. #GroundGlass

To get serious for a moment, since we're vacationing in Germany, I wanted to make sure we visited a concentration camp to pay respects. Yesterday we went to Dachau. Some haunting parallels between then and now we should all be mindful of.

I tried photographing this cliff several times. This day wasn't perfect but I was able to break out my mechanical stopwatch for long exposures such that we'll see what happens! I had wanted whispy clouds in front but they left by the time I was ready to take the shot. #LargeFormat

Yay for some #LargeFormat in #Germany! This was at a bed and breakfast in Saffig. I used #FP4 and a light green filter. Of course I won't get to see what it looks like for a few weeks.

Rolled the dice yesterday on getting my sheet films through. He hadn't seen sheet films before but all ended well. 1 down, 3 more to go.

Kind of amazing we can go from Texas to UK in less than 9 hours. It took almost 3 worth of tube travel to get to the hotel but we made it! Time to load up the PEN! Rocking some HP5. Haven't decided on whether to push or not. Either way it's nearly time for some pub food and beer!
