So many thanks to everyone who said hi to Apokunon and I at #Tennocon2026! I had no idea he'd brighten so many peoples' days. We got home safely last night after a long (18-hour/900-mile) drive. Planning to post some more photos of him in the future for anyone who didn't get to see him in person!

Apokunon buckled into the front passenger seat of the car during the drive up to Tennocon -- both for his safety and in the hopes of restraining him from taking over the car whenever I hopped out. He is sitting up and looking out the front windshield like a totally normal passenger. Arthur (in floof form) is wedged behind his arm and looks peeved yet begrudgingly accepting of the situation.Apokunon and the strange human he recruited to carry him around (and, apparently, "paint" his portrait) posing in front of the print of himself as Kavat with a Nakak Pearl Earring on display at the Tennocon Community Art ShowcaseArthur's atomicycle on display at Tennocon, notably from an angle where it would have taken him an extra half a second to notice a kavat hopping on and stealing it. Ultimately Apokunon's thirst for attention from adoring fans won out over his desire to make off with the atomicycle when he realized that if he tried, he'd probably get us both kicked out.Apokunon tucked in for bed at the hotel on Saturday night, head on pillow, back turned toward the viewer. Possibly already dreaming of stealing weapons and limbs from Scaldra troops. It's exhausting, being carried around and showered with affection all day!
