It's easy to underestimate how good Roger Corman was as a producer & director, but then when you see work by other people who worked in low budgets/exploitation, it's like night and day

Evil Dead Burn has a bizarre sense of humor that doesn’t mesh with the rest of the film. It’s like somebody said “aren’t these movies funny?” so they added in a smash cut from a deadite getting killed to a woman twerking and a scene where a mortician burns a body as he dances to a hip hop song
I’m not sure if the people who make the Evil Dead movies have seen any of the original ones or just the remake
The new Evil Dead movies are so long. Of the Raimi ones, the original is the longest at 85 minutes. Now they're two hours

Movie I'm watching has a scene where a woman grows 4 extra breasts. They don't put things like that in movies anymore
We looked this up after and when the original Weekend At Bernie's was released on VHS they cut out the scene where he had sex so the continuity makes more sense with Weekend At Bernie's II. Which is an incredible things to say

I tried watching a YouTube video about earlier adaptations of The Odyssey, but in it they referred to the 1954 Ulysses – a film shot in France, Italy, and North Africa with an almost entirely Italian crew – as a "Hollywood movie." And it's like, if you didn't do any research, why would I watch this
