Thankfully, I live in a city where there's an art school, so most people love authentic, human-created art. Lots of murals around the city and art for sale in local shops. Saw a young lady working on a mural a couple blocks away today actually and it was nice. Hope we hold onto this #RVA

School murals done by students, hole-in-the-wall restaurant menus put together by an employee using free clipart, even "bad" paintings done at a drink and paint event-Things with human imperfections.

Anyway I’m not saying I agree entirely with their approach. I just think that’s the thought process behind it. We are not judged the same. What’s the point of going to an HBCU if they’re not preparing you to exist while Black?
