I'm a medical librarian with a background in archival studies! Playing games (video games and TTRPGs) and art are two of my hobbies along with gardening!

How did you get into Dragon Age?
Some friends loaned me DA:O and DA2 about a year after DA2 came out. This was about 2012 or so? I was about to start graduate school so I didn't have an abundance of free time -- so it became something of a comfort franchise while I was trying to survive other Horrors in my life.

Who is your favorite Warden?
Probably Carver if you make him one just for the character growth. But Davrin and Alistair are also pretty great.

I like making art and writing stories and I've recently been getting into game development. I've been learning by making a small DA2 fangame for my favourite ship, Anders/Hawke.

How did you get into Dragon Age?
I asked my brother if I could borrow a game from him that he thought I might enjoy and he lent me his copy of Inquisition. I'd never heard of Dragon Age before, but I played it and really enjoyed it. A couple of years later I saw Origins on sale so I got that and then played through the games in order, which was when I became fully invested in the series and started making fanworks for DA2.

A gorgeous piece of digital art in a tarot style by @inkyblackfire. My Dragon Age: Inquisition Inquisitor, Mira (a white elf with silver hair and dressed in a ropey outfit with a flowing skirt, all in blue and silver and gold), clings to Thom (Blackwall). He's wearing his brown gambeson beneath metal chest armor, and has his shield in his left hand and his sword (all in white) in his right. Mira is pressed against his chest and side, so his sword arm wraps around her. One of her hands is over his heart, whereas her marked, glowing hand is over his head. A (freehanded!) crocheted Blackwall (Dragon Age Inquisition) amigurumi, standing outside in the early morning sunlight in front of the branches of a pine tree. His arms are folded across his chest as he looks up and into the camera. He is 18"/46cm tall.

He's wearing his casual outfit—brown gambeson, dark brown boots and gloves—and each piece of his clothing is detailed.

His gambeson has white X stitching on his right upper arm, a belt (with a buckle, belt holes, and a "leather" strap to keep the tail down), a collar, ties and clasps down the front, and beneath the gambeson, a metallic chain shirt (peeking out from the open part beneath his belt, and a lighter tunic showing just beneath the very bottom of the gambeson.

His boots and gloves are belted, and each belt has buckles, belt holes, and most have the same "leather" strap to hold the tails down. His gloves also are gloves, not mittens, so each hand has five fingers and a thumb. His boots are flat and dark grey on the bottoms, so he can stand (with some support).

A belt is cinched around his waist, and beneath it is red/brown padding with white trim. This belt has a round buckle (all the other buckles on his outfit are square). Additionally, the belt is overly large, as it is in game, and so it loops around itself and hangs a bit—visible in pictures I'll put in the replies.

His face is highly detailed and sculpted, using multiple sculpting techniques. His nose is crooked and protrudes from his face, his hair, including beard and mustache, are brushed yarn (and then needle felted to shape his facial hair and brows). His eyes are needle felted as well, and chalk pastels were used to color and shade his face to the best of my ability. Small amounts of chalk pastels were also used on his hair to lighten parts of his beard and temples.

And, in all of that, I only stabbed myself with the felting needle once! :D
