NBA Cup Uniforms coming. Word of warning… these are going to be hideous. But they’re just for one year, so embrace it!

I remember my first time being disappointed by a billionaire…
Polymarket signs LeBron James as first athlete partner... I don't even understand how this is allowed in the first place but very disappointed in LeBron. Instead of re-signing with DraftKings, he opts for the unregulated prediction market. Shame on you, gambling addiction is as prevalent as ever.
I can’t imagine the same ownership group having different policies for their two teams, so the difference kinda has to be coming from league side, right?
@portlandfire.bsky.social get your shit together
We want to express our thanks to the @ThornsFC.com staff and Providence Park security for swiftly handling the transphobic incident today. We won't tolerate hate in our house, and it's good to know that they are with us. It was handled quickly and professionally. #BAONPDX 1/2
Very well-done and well-researched video with a lot of background on Tom Dundon's path to owning the Blazers, that I sat for an interview for a month ago. Worth checking out now that it's out buff.ly/GPqfZxx
The NBA's newest owner might just ruin the league
Tom Dundon purchased the Portland Trail Blazers at a valuation of $4.25 billion dollars. What he's done next may well challenge the NBA's status quo - and not necessarily in a good way. Find out how,…

What @billoram.bsky.social is missing here is that Portland doesn’t need Adam Silver to step in and rescue us. We need @pablo.show. The NBA didn’t go after Ballmer until a quality journalist forced them to. Too bad our paper of record doesn’t have anyone up to the task.

After levying historic punishment on Steve Ballmer, the NBA's commissioner needs to get Tom Dundon in line.

I still think the NBA should make Kawhi actually plant all those trees.
What’s the correct pronunciation of Campesinos? I’d like to at least try and say it correctly before defaulting to the white Portland butchered Spanglish version that it’s eventually going to be known as.
Trail Blazers announce they will have a special jersey band this season to honor the late, great Rick Adelman. December 15 at home vs the Nuggets, the organization will recognize and celebrate the life of the legendary Trail Blazers coach.
I have one video from college football saved on my from phone that is now 8 years old. Still cracks me up. What is this Utah coach doing? Who cops a feel like this after helping someone up?

After weeks of mounting tension, the team said that public funding for the Moda Center is just part of its idea of a deal.

How many cyber trucks do you need to encounter in your neighborhood in one day before you consider putting your house up for sale? I think I’m getting close to my limit.
This is the @shamsbot.bsky.social skeet I'm waiting for: BREAKING: The Portland Trail Blazers are trading two future NBA expansion checks to the City of Portland for a fully renovated Moda Center. The sides also agreed to a new 30-year lease to keep the franchise in Portland, sources tell ESPN.

Brandon was making so much great progress with his campaign and has been standing up for the right things. I’ve been so impressed by his leadership and courage through it all. This development sucks but I know it’s not the end of his story.
Rough news: I'm no longer running for Portland City Council. I missed a voter registration deadline by a few weeks. That's on me. I don't want others to make the same mistake and asked the Auditor's Office to update a few key places (website, residency requirements section of the guide, webinar).
The Blazers don't have a problem with too many guards. Replacing Caleb Love + Blake Wesley with Damian Lillard + Ja Morant is a big upgrade. Minutes will sort themselves out. The problem the Blazers have is not enough forwards.
The tldr: Dundon needs the state and city money to make this make sense, he has a ton of incentive to close a deal by January, and so does the NBA and NBA ownership. He’s a shrewd negotiator, but he’s a closer. You can read all of the moves he has left here edankrolewicz.substack.com/p/the-moda-d...

In 2024, Portland took ownership of the Moda Center a year earlier than agreed to keep the Blazers here until 2030, after having a property assessment done that said the building was in good shape. Now the predatory billionaire who owns the team is demanding a state-of-the art renovation for free.🖕

Really great description of what’s going down. We all want the Blazers to stay but an elected’s job is to make fully informed decisions that are in the best interest of the people they serve. Calling them chickenshit for slowing down a farcical timeline so they can do their job well is wild work.
Portland city councilors say they lack information on the Blazers' proposed renovations to the Moda Center. The Blazers say they've shared plenty. Mayor Wilson is caught in the middle. A peek at the political dynamics at play as negotiations heat up in public and behind closed doors.
