Just looked at my calendar from 2019 and apparently there was a weekend when I worked Thursday, went camping Thurs & Friday nights, climbed two mountains on Friday, went off-roading on Saturday, and then came back and went to a soccer game on Sunday.

Trying to track down some weird 00s synthpop and I can’t find most of anywhere. I’d love to buy them in digital, but it’s mostly just $50 CDs for resale on discogs. I miss whatCD every day.

Played a gig this weekend, went up to the booth 15 minutes before my set was supposed to start and the DJ was like “ok, you’re good” and ran out of the booth with 30 seconds left on the track.

honestly, hate it when I’m out with a group of people and someone says we should eat, and everyone takes out their phones and starts googling restaurants.

me: man, i wish the type-ahead search in my note taking app was better at knowing what file i'm looking for AI product lead: what if we used AI... ok? what if we used AI, to build a new google maps feature... that lets you fabricate geopolitical disinformation in minutes?

New from 404 Media: Google Earth has introduced an AI feature that lets anyone fabricate completely bullshit satellite images. In our own tests, we added a “bomb blast and crater” to an area of Los Angeles. This is a misinformation time bomb, will 100% be abused www.404media.co/google-earth...

I love logging on to Bluesky. It’s got everything. • a no-shit take by a blue check account with 2k likes • desktop screenshot of a document I’m supposed to be mad about but it’s impossible to read on a mobile phone • a painstakingly crafted moderate opinion with all the interactions disabled

Work ticket from 2016: Build a gallery app viewer so visitors can see any piece of art from the archive with linked historical metadata in the sidebar. Work ticket from 2026: Figure out which one of these dozens of AI generated code changes broke core functionality in the editor two months ago.
