The way you know that the resident evil movie is really a part of the resident evil franchise is because the first two acts are peak but the last act kinda sucks a little bit though lmao
The resident evil movie is to me kinda the terrifier of survival horror. Its just doing survival horror for the sake of it. And its really well done! I had a blast with the movie, its spiritually as RE as you can get without Leon showing up on screen. I just wish it did a little more thematically.
Something I notice a lot when it comes to "this character is trans!" discourse is that people *require* the transness to be completely literal, or its simply not to be taken seriously at all. When that completely ignores, when a story is better served by just, having the audience connect the dots.

been replaying the ffxiv msq and i think emet selch works so well as a villain specifically because he's kind of a lonely loser. Dude spends half the expansion begging for us to pay attention to him while pretending not to care its hilarious. Texting the crystal exarch at 3am "hey u up im bored"

with chapter 5 i think ralsei has easily become my favorite character. It was originally susie but ralsei's arc in Chap.5 in particular is genuinely reaaallly compelling

hot take but i genuinely enjoy wiping and struggling with fights in ffxiv. Like, watching a party struggle and scramble to due mechanics slowly get better as the duty goes on is entertaining! Its fun when there is some variety and its not just cookie cutter "Get this over asap for my daily"
