We talked about the socioeconomic impact of long COVID. No one was talking about that. I got sick on March 6, 2020, and was never the same after that. I lost my home several months later, and when Ed and I talked, I was living in a tent at Weston Bend State Park, just north of Kansas City. 2/35
Take it from someone with Long-COVID who only 3 years later was approved for disability: It is life altering at best We were lucky to keep ourselves going financially (it ate every cent of our savings and retirement), many others weren't. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Watching friends suffer and struggle to work and survive. Knowing so many others are in the same place. I rage for them all. And I rage so abled folks may never know such a fate.

I think it's worth noting that nothing is being done now. Johnson has kept congress home for most of the year over the Epstien files. The two year average is 284 stand alone bills passed. This congress has passed 38....they hold all 3 branches. These are not serious people.
