夏の強烈な日差しを避けるため、日陰で雨宿りならぬ「日差し宿り」をしていました。 I was taking shelter in the shade to escape the intense summer sun.
その虫は「(捕獲した虫を私に見せ)イイだろう〜」と自慢げに見せびらかしてきました。 The insect showed off its catch—holding it up for me to see—with a proud air, as if to say, "Pretty impressive, right?"
