I have been the note-taker in so many meetings where the decision got made during the conversation, and often CHANGED during the discussion. An AI summary of a transcript would not capture that.

Then they have all the transcripts (and the ai token bill) but no sensemaking. so they make another app — a layer that will make sense of all the useless transcripts. But of course sensemaking isnt just pattern spotting. It’s interpretation. AI cannot do either because AI cannot be curious

We went tubing along the Shenandoah today and while I don't love the thing where people bring speakers it was fun to pass different flotillas of people playing different music (and they were far enough apart that it wasn't cacophonous).

There are multiple rooms, so - in my office, mostly by genre and then alpha by author. History is generally chronological. The books in the main living room are mostly SFF and then alpha by author and in series order as appropriate, but hardcovers and paperbacks separated

You suddenly get a narrator describing your life and there’s no way to turn it off - everyone can hear it. While shopping, at work, at home, with friends - the voice narrating your every move goes on. Who do you hope is the voice of this narrator?

Went to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens this AM to do some birdwatching; the flowers were also out in full force. Used a different camera for the birds, but we saw egrets, a night heron, a bald eagle, and lots of red-winged blackbirds.
