Finally got Falling to the table tonight as a solo. I really enjoyed how quick each turn was, you can only do one thing per turn so there was never too long thinking. I bet this would move pretty quickly with 4 people. It definitely did with the solo opponent.

I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
New comic! Possession might be nine-tenths of the law, or possession might be theft... We only know that possession of a game doesn't guarantee you'll ever play it! 😇 📜 You can read this week's blog post at: semicoop.com/comic/purchasing-games-2026/ #boardgames
This was a good week with lots of fun games. New to me is Age of Steam from @eaglegryphon.bsky.social and Martin Wallace. This one is so good, I feel it's going to quickly fly up the ranks for me.
So I learned how to play Age of Steam tonight. Why did no one ever tell me it was this good? @eaglegryphon.bsky.social
Played some good games this week, my three favorites were Lairs that I played with my wife, Tenby that I played solo, and The Crew Journey to the Ends of the Earth that I played with some friends. What were your favorite gaming experiences this week?
I've played Lairs for two days in a row. This delightful game from @kidstablebg.bsky.social (designed by Josh Cappel and Christopher Westmaas) has been a very fun time for my wife and I. We're looking forward to some more plays soon!
I played @mightyboards.bsky.social Tenby today for the first time, just a couple of solo games to learn and get the feel for the game. What a delightful little game! Lots of decision space and charm in a little package. Thanks to @nopunincluded.com that this went on my wishlist several months ago.
Played my first game of The Crew: Journey to the Ends of the Earth by Thomas Sing tonight. We just did the first mission but I like the changes to this version from the previous entries. Have you played this one yet? What did you think?
Picked up a few games from my Friendly Local (Online) Game Store with local pickup. I'm very excited to play all of these! What would you play first?
My group and I are working our way through The Queens Dilemma from @horribleguild.bsky.social . This is such a good game. The Mini Game aspects are a big hit and have added so much to the end of each round. Lorenzo Silva and Hjalmar Hach killed it with this one.
Played these two games solo today during my toddlers naptime. First play for both. Alpine Trails by @lastnightgames.bsky.social is a fun route building game that I need to play again now that I fully understand how scoring works.
So I picked up Baba is You after @bitewinggames.bsky.social announcement of Peter C Hayward's Baba is You two player abstract board game and it's such a delightful puzzly game that really makes you think outside the box. It really amps up my excitement for the board game.
The games I got played this week! I played some fun games. What did you play?
I played Can't Stop for the first time today. It has existed longer than I have been alive but I don't think I had heard of it until this year. It's essentially press your luck distilled down into its simplest form, but I still had a good time.
