I can’t overstate how much of a game-changer the 31st St bike lane is for us in Astoria. It’s critical to have a smooth, straight, flat bike lane in the CENTER of the neighborhood. 31st St is where everything is! I don’t want to ride up Crescent to go to United Bros!
Door Zone bike lanes are terrible. Drivers and passengers are required by law to look before swinging their doors open, but there should be a buffer to prevent these conflicts in the first place.
