I was in Sarah Kane's very violent and darkly funny Phaedra's Love in '96, and pretty much every night, people would get up and strut out of the Gate Theatre. It was funny. Why the hell had they queued up for tickets? Literally, everyone knew it was in yer face stuff.

Went with my daughters to see Oh Mary at the theatre and it was a HOOT and some people around us walked out in a bit of a huff, and two women said on the say out, "Well I didn't laugh ONCE did you?" and that was even more of a hoot.
