Bobby the Airedale

I’m a young Airedale Terrier living my best life in Australia. I’m trying to train my Hoomans - they’re showing promise but it’ll take time. I have a Master’s degree in naughtiness. 😈

I’ve taken over one of the couches in the living room. It’s very comfy, the arm is just the right height for resting my chin & I have a good line of vision to our big paddock in case baddies approach. It’s the ideal place for my between-walks naps. Hope you’re having a good day pals ~Bobby 👋

It’s been a busy day today … I spent a lot of it in the backyard patrolling for baddies. After terrifying some magpies I found a stick and decided that I should chew it into a million pieces. Lucky I’m such a rough tough terrier huh? Have a great Friday pals. ~ Bobby 👋

Bobby Airedale lies in the backyard, concentrating hard on chewing a small stick.

Just having a confab with Crocco … I say he doesn’t really need two front legs (he he he 😈) & I should chew one off. Crocodiles can survive in the wild with a missing leg you know. HooMum says ‘Give Crocco a break’ He’s ‘resting’ up on the high bench now but I’ll get him back later. 😉 ~ Bobby 👋

Bobby holds his toy crocodile between his front legs.

It was a cold and very foggy day (all day) here and HooMum wasn’t so keen on long walks. Me and Crocco decided to take a nap with our legs in the air - seemed like the most sensible course of action. Hope you have a great Monday pals. ~ Bobby

Hi Pals 👋 Our HooGran passed away over the weekend, so we’ll be taking a little time away from BlueSky while we come to terms with the loss. 😔 We’ll be back in a while. In the meantime, look after yourselves. I’ll miss ya faces. ~ Bobby

Hi pals 👋 Happy Friday. We saw these kangaroos while on our early morning walk. They were really enjoying the lush green grass, especially as the poodles who live behind that fence in the background weren’t out if bed yet, so not barking at the Roos. ~ Bobby

Four kangaroos are peacefully grazing on lush green grass on the side of a hill. A fence runs behind them.

Hey UK-based pals 🥵 … are you OK? We just heard that your June max temperature record was broken today. Hope you’ve found a cool place to rest, & that you’re drinking lots of water. Ask your Hoos for ice cubes, & to dampen your fur. Foggy & cold here - hope my photo helps you feel cooler. Bobby 👋

Hey pals - happy Wednesday! 👋 I know some of you have been wanting to see kangaroo photos for a while, but my hoppy pals had been keeping their distance recently. But this afternoon, look who we bumped into during our walk. Hope your week’s going well. ~ Bobby

Two kangaroos hanging out in Bobby’s street. One is hopping away quickly while the larger kangaroo plus watching Bobby intently. A medium sized kangaroo hops off across the road at the site of Bobby Airedale approaching.

This photo was taken last time I was at Dog Camp … thought you might like to see how tall Darcy has become. He’s taller than the pony now and he’s not even 1 yet. 😳 That’s Hector near front of photo and me gallumphing towards the group in the background. Have a great Tuesday pals. ~ Bobby 👋

Darcy the Great Dane pup is as tall as his family’s pony. In the foreground is Hector (Welsh Terrier) and running towards them is Bobby Airedale.

I have some great news pals! HooDad is taking a day off from his healthy living activities (after 110 days) and he cooked SNOSSIGES for lunch today. 🎉🎉🎉 He was feeling kind and gave me an entire snossige to myself. Yay! 😋😋😋 Happy days. ~ Bobby 👋

Bobby sits and waits patiently to eat a snossige, which is cut into thin slices.

Hi pals - happy Thursday. 👋 It’s been a dismal & rainy day today and I’ve been getting wet every time I go into the back yard (to bark at people in the distance). Then I’ve been putting wet paw prints all over the clean floors. 😈 I did tell HM not to bother mopping the floor yesterday. 😤 ~ Bobby

So back in the days when I was only 4 months old, I had trouble controlling my ears in high winds. One of them got completely out of control on this day. HooMum says she thought I looked very cute 🥰 but then I bit her hand and she remembered that I was a little monster. 😈 ~ Bobby 👋

Bobby Airedale at 4 months of age. One of his ears is being blown straight up towards the sky by strong winds, while he has an innocent and slightly bemused expression on his face.

Happy Sunday pals 👋 Lots of fog across the valley this morning when we took our early walk - for some reason HooMum thought you might like to see it. 🤦‍♀️ Photo shows Mt Disappointment in the background … but no kangaroos around this morning. Hope you have a great day filled with fun. 🎉 ~ Bobby

Bobby Airedale looks across a fog filled valley towards Mt Disappointment just after sunrise. The road is wet from heavy rain the day before.

Hi pals and happy Saturday. 👋 I’m having trouble getting HooMum out into the back yard for a game. Not sure, but maybe it has something to do with the cold, rainy weather? As a result, Croco and I are having a lazy afternoon. Hope you have a fun pal to spend your Saturday with. 🤞 ~ Bobby

Hi pals 👋 Hope your Sunday’s off to a great start. I’m just home from the groomer - had a bath and trim. I can’t think of a less enjoyable way to start the day - would much prefer snuffling in the grass and getting muddy - but HooMum thinks I look ‘handsome’ and she says I smell great. 😤 ~ Bobby

It’s a super cold and wintery morning here, so HooMum got up early and lit the fire. 🔥 I love being close to the fire and getting hot fur, which confuses HM cos I don’t like getting hot outside when it’s sunny. All part of my plan to keep her guessing. 😉 ~ Bobby 👋
