"It has been a lot." At today's introductory press conference with the 76ers, Jaylen Brown's answer to his final question spoke to what comes with a trade -- especially to a rival -- & the mindset that won't allow the toxic discourse about him to seep into his mind like poison.

That toxic discourse can be poisonous. Instead, in more ways than one, his introductory press conference with the 76ers captured the mindset that empowers Brown and how his time with the Celtics helped mold it. hardwoodhoudini.com/jaylen-brown...

Dillon Mitchell has one of the Celtics' two-way roster spots. Amari Williams has another. With John Tonje joining the Trail Blazers, another name should be considered the favorite for Boston's final two-way vacancy. Of course, one can't rule out an external addition.

Jordan Walsh was in Duncanville, Texas this weekend to host his third annual youth basketball camp. He spoke with Chris Forsberg about his contract extension. As he said at Summer League, he later reiterated a goal of his is to "redefine myself offensively."

Last year, Jordan Walsh told me role player IQ and improving his jump shot were his biggest areas of growth entering a make-or-break season. Today, I asked him about his focus this offseason, as he works to build on last year's evolution.

Steph Curry was the driving force that propelled the Warriors into a different stratosphere from where they were financially and in terms of basketball relevance before his arrival. Despite what he's done for them and is still capable of, GS appears overly fixated on the post-Curry era. 1/2

As his physical evolution continues, the benefits were easy to recognize on defense in a breakout second season with the Celtics. "Credit to Matt Gould in the weight room for continuing to help me get my body right." hardwoodhoudini.com/inside-baylo...

In a feature I did on Scheierman this season, among the insight from people at Creighton was how tirelessly he worked to transform his body. "Jeremy Anderson, our strength and conditioning coach, had a major influence and emphasis on his development."

Baylor Scheierman gets a shoutout on IG from Jayson Tatum. Also got a salute from Ron Harper Jr. It’s so impressive to see Scheierman’s physical transformation over the years.

Inside this article is the reality that the probability of LeBron James and Jaylen Brown becoming teammates, with the 76ers or elsewhere, was much higher than perhaps anyone thought at the start of the offseason. But it's what history suggests lies ahead that's even more compelling.

Since the 1950s, Boston & Philly's NBA franchises have engaged in playoff combat every decade but the '90s. That includes squaring off 4 times in the last 9 years. History suggests they'll see each other again, with elevated stakes. For Tatum, it's an incredible opportunity for his legacy. 1/2
