Give me a fucking break @LinkedIn. Your requirement to pay for boost to get posts seen now means the feed is mostly shadow ads and glossy videos from Anthropic. Shitification at its best.

Every time I hear an allocator nitpick index replication tracking error, I can't help but say "what about your single manager tracking error?!"
Can we all accept that allocators got duped into believing the "factor neutral" and "idio" myths, when in reality most of these multistrats are just high-fee momo traders with some accounting tricks. h/t @nishantkumar07
The most important chart folks aren't focused on right now. h/t @Rory_Johnston What do you do when the reroute of the reroute is now under pressure?
The most comprehensive wage growth data released late last week showed continued slowing, and further confirmed the surge in household spending increasingly financed by dissaving.

Japan has a near 5% of GDP current account surplus. Near neutral on trade, with huge investment income that is usually automatically reinvested. A less structural surplus than might seem on the surface.
There is no yen carry trade these days. So while the intervention may mark a shift in the direction of JPY, we are unlikely to see the surge in past appreciation periods.
Really enjoyed getting together with @null for On the Tape earlier this week. Fed, Hormuz, 3% real yields, and Vanguard's 400bps fee illiquid fund all made the agenda. Check it out! youtu.be/zIjXBhVWqX8?...

It's a common misconception among investors that hedge funds don't produce much alpha. That isn't right. They produce plenty of it and keep it for themselves. Cut the fees and increase cash efficiency and there is plenty to go around.

Today is another reminder that allocators think they can find the next hedge fund genius that will outperform their peers. Trouble is there is overwhelming evidence of no reliable outperformance persistence beyond random chance and accounting tricks. unlimitedfunds.com/elusive-pers...

TLT and SPY are down roughly the same today are Warsh's comments. That's mechanical. Higher discount rates directly drag on stock prices (through lower discounted future earnings). But it *should* be worse for stocks b/c higher rates drag on growth. That part isn't priced yet.
