my landlord literally changed our exterior light fixture because she wanted it to turn on AUTOMATICALLY rather than rely on us flipping a switch to have it on ONLY WHEN WE WANT IT ON She doesn’t want TENANTS to have a CHOICE about TURNING ON OR OFF A LIGHT in the home we LIVE IN

distressed

y’all are so lucky there’s character limits on bluesky because I DO have a rant about the owning class viewing tenant’s homes as 🏡🫟dollhouses🏡🫟 rather than as homes where real people live every day and are affected by these choices that they have no autonomy in

got an email saying a power outage was reported at our address we don’t have a power outage the electric company’s non-emergency phone line is closed for the weekend so i guess we wait for someone to show up and tell them someone pranked them? idk!

seeing my dumb grammar post in the midst of everyone’s Saturday night club / bar / party / social gatherings

@merriam-webster.com I don’t think “is,” “am,” “will,” “are,” “was,” and related words should be categorized under the same part of speech as “run,” “lick,” “look”, “feel”, and “dance.” Who do I speak to about changing the definition of “verb” to actually make sense?! Thank you.
