Current read. I’m not a big fantasy reader, but this one sounded appealing and it’s terrific so far. Great immersive world-building and the dragony stuff is top-notch!

This book is so terrific! A great #youngteenlit that is funny, has realistic 14yo dialogue (for the most part- there is less swearing than they actually do), and chronicles a night-before-graduation sneak-out that is age-appropriate, creative, and fun as hell.
This is the most exciting thing happening in my life right now and I’m okay with that. 😍
I have been waaaaaaaiting for this!!!!! Finally get my hands on it… but I have to read a Book Club book first, and finish the book I’m already reading. Or DO I? 👀 😏
Foreign editions are so cool! I love the paper obi on the Chinese and Japanese editions.
Clarence Thomas says the 14th Amendment should be read narrowly because it was written for formerly enslaved people. By that logic, the 2nd Amendment was written for muskets, not AR-15s. Funny how that kind of originalism only shows up when it's convenient.

Current read. A fun, puzzley, scavenger-hunt about sound, noise and music. Unique topic and a fast read- perfect for upper elementary. My adult sound-consultant son would have loved this in third grade!

Strategic Tape Reserve@strategictaper.bsky.social · 2mo agoThey should build loads of data centers all over the place that contain huge quantities of books that people can borrow for free if they fill out a form to get a data center card and promise to return the books on time and don’t make too much noise in the data center.

A former student who goes to Dartmouth is back from her freshman year and says I am “way cooler than” (with my apologies to the Dartmouth librarians) the Dartmouth librarians. She said I set her standards too high in high school 😂
