I was digging through Netgalley late last night through mystery books and found a historical mystery set in Georgian era London 🙂↕️ wasn’t too sure about my chances of getting approved for it but the pub already approved me this morning 🥳
so there is a book festival nearby(ish) this Saturday and I want to go for the vibes but I guess it’s going to depend on how the roads are looking. all the reports are that it’s going to flood really bad later this week

the Illumicrate edition of The Protector of the Small series by Tamora Pierce is here!!! put it next to their edition of The Song of the Lioness for comparison. I’m still confused about the edges but everything else looks great. my favorite is the horse going 👀 on one of the endpages lol
with all the ESPN I watch because of football, I don’t even think I’ve seen an ad about it being the start of the season or that the first game was starting so early?
Rodger Sherman@rodger.bsky.social · 2d agoI’m the guy at NHL HQ who’s in charge of making sure all of our major events get overshadowed by things in other sports, they gave me a huge raise for putting the season opener at 5 pm on a weekday at the same time as Game 1 of the MLB playoffs
