I love me some post-apocalyptic horror. Them, by W.H. Chizmar, ticks every box on a horror-lover's list. Terrifically terrifying.

It's amazing the way scientific and cultural institutions have allowed themselves to be debased by the Trump administration. Not a backbone among them.

Walking on the beach, I was surprised to hear a conversation between some sand and a small patch of gravel. The sand was mad that a dog peed on it. I understood the sediment.
The only films that should be judged on their historical accuracy are those that claim to be historically accurate.
Laughing my ass off listening to people quibble about the "historical" accuracy of a movie based on a poem based on mythology.
Apparently I have reviewed nearly 4500 books for @ala-booklist.bsky.social since the mid-1990s. No wonder my eyes hurt.
I watch this series in its entirety at least once a year. It's that good.
