I spoke with my SIL yesterday. She vacillates between numb and sobbing, but she is grateful to be safe and with her children. They were not able to grab much. Thank you in advance for your continued support to get them on their feet. www.gofundme.com/f/help-tanya... Her neighborhood is gone.

My parents are currently safe, but one of my sisters in law lost her home to the wildfires ravaging #Spokane Washington. I’m joining the effort to ensure she and my niece and nephew are taken care of, however temporarily. gofund.me/bd93f259d

I have lived in Atlanta since 2003 and just drove past Morehouse College for the first time today. I also did not realize how close I work to The Busy Bee, which was an inspiration for Ruby's Soul Food cafe in my debut, Brunch at Ruby's.
