I'm only half way in the first book but my theory is Azalea. My feeling is she is just playing ignorant to see what Alvera knows or doesn't know.

The Water Walls by iLana Markarov book is a perfect combination of elements of horror, mystery, and thriller! If you've already read the Timeless Fate Series, then you will love this book as well!
