Small survey on coordinate intuitions. You have an object on the screen, its position defined by the X, Y, Z coordinates. Which direction does your intuition say it will move in if you increase the X coordinate? What about increasing Y and Z? Which directions are the positive and negative?

Here's a small feature you didn't know you needed in your code editor: visual feedback for when you copy stuff to the clipboard. It's a simple thing but once you get used to it you'll start missing it everywhere else. Implemented as a Visual Studio plugin (not VSCode). github.com/BoyC/CopyHig...

Super surprised how fast Vera picked up the ins and outs of my demotool. I see great things ahead! Well done for 4th place in the largest 64k compo in recent memory!

Nightform, aka. Catzilla with laser eyes - a 64kbytes executable, presented at @revision-party.bsky.social last weekend. Code by @boyc.conspiracy.hu Music by: @strayboom.bsky.social Visuals by Vera (no bsky acc :( ) Pouet: www.pouet.net/prod.php?whi... Youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAmv...

My 4k executable graphics entry for Revision 2026 that came in 2nd. Created using an editor built as an experiment to see if current AI is capable of building tooling for smaller things like SDF editing. Consensus: prototyping - yes. Long term maintainable tooling - no. www.pouet.net/prod.php?whi...

My version of "googling yourself": every now and again I ask LLMs what they know about our demogroup Conspiracy (without googling). We're just obsucre enough to be known but not in detail so it's a good check to see how much info these systems gobble up over time. I feel like such a tool now...

Ever found a couple thousand bucks between the sofa cushions? That's how we felt last night when toggling a single compiler flag shrunk our 64k engine code by 20%. Moral of the story: don't assume anything when moving compilers in a size-coding context.

Gotta love AI overviews. That's two WD ssd product codes I wanted to compare to figure out the 40 eur price difference at my usual retailer.

Hello everyone who found us through this starter pack recently 👋 We're a Hungarian demogroup and we've been making 64 kilobyte intros for 20+ years now, using our own procedural tooling that looks/looked like this 👇

Did you know I made a #ProcGen dev Starter Pack early on. If you are interested in people making things procedurally then check it out: bsky.app/starter-pack... Plenty of space for more cool people so if you'd like to be added, let me know! (cursory vetting applies)

I managed to buy a laptop with a copilot key not realizing that it can't be set to act as the ctrl key, and all workarounds ignore the fact that the hardware actually sends "win+shift+f23", taking over the shift button and making shift+ctrl+arrow key selection impossible. Well. NO. MORE. COPILOT.

I spent painstaking months on this, and without a doubt this is one of the proudest I've been of everything I've ever worked on. SR is a demo without which a lot of us wouldn't be doing what we're doing, so to make it run natively on my machine was very emotional. (❤️ to @oldskool.org for his help)

= 32 bits after 32 years = We're incredibly proud to announce that Second Reality has now been finally ported to a modern operating system, and you can watch it tear up your system: no video, no emulation, just code - as it should be. conspiracy.hu/files/w32nd_... github.com/ConspiracyHu...

Second Reality, along with the legendary Assembly party were among the earliest influences to the members of Conspiracy. Today we're honoring the 32nd anniversary with a gift to the community: a native 32 bit port of the demo that kicked off the PC demoscene era with a bang.

And what an honor. This project would not have been possible without the guys helping out with the audio: @virgill74.bsky.social, @kebby.org and gopher

Slowly getting out of my Post Revision Brain Fog, and, oh, right, I had a release! www.pouet.net/prod.php?whi... It was an honor to work with @virgill74.bsky.social and especially @boyc.conspiracy.hu - 22 years after meeting on the Easter Party stage as rivals, we finally did so as collaborators.

Whoever thought that it'd be a good idea to have the copilot key send a ctrl-shift-f23 shortcut so there's no way to map it back to ctrl so that it works with shift-ctrl-arrow selection navigation needs to get persistent hiccups like right now.
