These are “low enrollment” majors but the classes are regularly at capacity. They changed the funding structure a few years ago here, switching the allocation from course enrollments to majors then blamed these departments for a structural, top-down change. This is entirely a political choice.

Just starting the manuscript intake for Vol. 75 of @lrtmp.bsky.social, and realizing that this is the last volume I’ll get to work on as an Editorial Assistant. Bittersweet. I’ve grown so fond of our editorial team; and of the LRA community. I cannot wait to see what shape this volume takes. 🤎

Today is my last first day of school. In 2021, I started to get my Doctorate in Teaching and Learning from ISU; and I’ll be done in about six months. I am excited for all that is coming my way and I am looking forward to sharing what I have been up to the last five years. More later.
2.57 am: I just had dinner comprising a glass (two) of white wine and an omelette. I see the appeal in going against the traditional circadian rhythms, fellow nocturnals - but I doubt it’s sustainability. 🥱

Friendsgiving 2024 stats: - we had 2 turkeys, 5 side dishes, 14 kinds of desserts, 3 types of wine & 2 types of beer - we hosted 19 people, who contributed 24 different items - We made approx 3 trips to Walmart, and spent nearly 21 hours buying ingredients & cooking the food
Spent the evening baking four phenomenal cheesecakes for a Friendsgiving tomorrow. Can’t wait for everyone to have some tomorrow! Far away from home, these gatherings matter more than words alone can express. But first, bed time. 💤
