LRP that gorgeous Toji and their beautiful Megumi was tabling next to me at Supacomi (selling a tjgm book btw!!) and I short-circuited so hard I couldn’t even look at them a second time lest I explode and cry on the spot (did end up crying a bit). I only pick up jp vocab from fandom stuff so I thought 本日 meant like, THE day ala the BIG day (cause they use it for announcements and greetings?), but it just means ‘today’ 😭😂🔫(it’s a more formal version of 今日??) My thought process: 本 from 本当/本物 + 日 = the REAL day (that we’ve been preparing for)
