Fun little thing with the new Reader/Writer interfaces in Zig. Streaming the contents of a Reader into a Writer while omitting the line that starts with a value (`self.value`). Feels clean to me, but I'm ready to be humbled. is there a better way?

This is my Zig trick of the week. Doing this in your main or root.zig will make sure that when you run zig build test, all of your tests will run (some exceptions apply -- tests inside of a struct for example). zig build test not running all tests drove me crazy. Here's my fix.

When I first started programming, I wanted to build an ORM to learn more about how they work and to have built an ORM (of course). I started looking at how Hibernate works because I was mostly writing Java and Holy Cow, I am shocked none of my peers stopped me and suggested literally any alternative

Observations after a few months with BlueSky. I was shit at posting on Twitter and I’m shit at posting here. I never know what to share and what not to, so if you’re seeing this, what do you? Post everything? Post nothing? Post sometimes but filter yourself? Post on brand?

What’s an acceptable turnaround time for an open source PR into a large, actively maintained codebase? I’ve had a PR open to Zig for almost a month now, and it’s been sitting for weeks with no interaction from the team.
