Head Start faced major cuts, office closures, staff layoffs, and payment freezes that temporarily closed facilities serving an estimated 20,000 children across 23 states. Houchin has not objected. Children need action.

School privatization is the goal of MAGA while public education is on the chopping block. Secretary Linda M. fired half the staff of DOE, cut grant programs, and moved management of essential programs to other federal departments. Her “final mission” is to completely eliminate the DoE.

When I get to Congress, there are short term goals I can reach before tackling bigger projects like Medicare for All. One of which is eliminating the tax cap for social security. By doing that, we can stabilize the reserves for the next 20 years and work on other problems for the next ten years.

Grocery prices are high, first homes are out of reach, wages have not kept up with inflation, and the cost of nearly everything continues to rise. I will fight for Medicare for All, a $20 minimum wage, more affordable starter homes, and an end to the tariffs that are driving up costs.

The Department of Education is one of the few institutions that holds our education system accountable, protects students' rights, and helps ensure every child has access to the opportunities they deserve. When I get to Congress, I will fight to protect the Department of Education.
